January Membership meeting update
Thank you all for coming to the General Membership meeting on Wednesday, January 19th with special guest, Dr. Angelica Amezcua, UW Assistant Professor in Spanish and Portuguese Studies. She shared her research and advocacy working in and outside of the classroom towards reclaiming and promoting the use of heritage languages. Please find the presentation that was covered and minutes from the meeting. Feel free to follow up with any questions to our board members or join us for our next board meeting, Feb. 1st 6:30pm.
Have you always wondered what more you can do to advocate for the future of our schools? Check out the WSPTSA website to see how. You can quickly and easily support language access to public schools here. If we each give a few minutes of our time to advocate for our schools, we will all be in a better place. If you want to learn more about how to help advocate for our children and schools, please contact our advocacy chair, Margaret Holt, who has been digging deep into all of this for all of us.
